Time for some more gift ideas (hey, I’m here to help)!

All of the products in this list are from Amazon Launchpad, which is a special section dedicated to sellers from startups who have raised funds through crowdfunding platforms, venture capitalists and startup accelerators. Pretty cool stuff from some pretty cool innovators!   (Be sure you read the note at the end of this post about my affiliate links, just so we’re on the up and up with the FTC…)

1. Plastic No-Tie Shoelace Inserts

“The evolution of shoelaces. Make any shoe look & feel better. No tying, custom fit, slip on and off so you never have to tie your shoes again.”  Available in 9 color combos. Very fun!

 2. Mindfulness and Activity Tracker
Spire measures your breathing and provides feedback for a more focused and calm day.  When your breathing indicates tension, a gentle notification reminds you to stop and take a deep breath.  The included smartphone app can guide you in short, simple exercises or mini-meditations to increase focus, calm and productivity.  Put this one on my personal wish list — ah, breathe….

3. 3D Doodler Pen
OK, this is cool. You “doodle” vertically or horizontally with this pen, and it extrudes instantly-hardening non-toxic plastic to create what you’ve “drawn” with the pen! Sounds like a pretty cool gift for someone who has everything.

4. Design Your Own Headphones
You know I’m all for anything artsy 🙂 I think I want these for myself — why should kids have all the fun?

5. Double Play Card Word Games
I love games, and especially word games (Scrabble anyone?). This game is a 2016 Parents’ Choice Gold Award Winner. It has multiple playing options in one box, including a solitaire game. Recommended for ages 10 and up.

6. Moldable Glue
“Fix that thing” it says on the package. Sounds pretty useful to me! You mold this doughy substance in your fingers, and it “dries” overnight into an adhesive rubber. It comes in different colors to best match whatever you’re fixing.  I know, it’s kind of a weird gift idea, but it was way too cool to resist, and hey, what if one of your other gifts breaks?  This way, you’ve got the bases covered.

7. Grow Your Own Living Fuel Cell
Wait, what? You know I’m a sucker for eco-friendly stuff as much as I am for artsy stuff. This looks like an awesome project to do with your kid(s)!  “MudWatt engages kids in STEM in a whole new way, using the power of mud! It harnesses the power of electricity-generating bacteria naturally living in the soil beneath our feet! Kids experiment with different types of soil (and food from the fridge) to maximize their power output. The MudWatt Explorer App lets kids measure their power, track their MudWatt’s bacteria growth, and unlock an awesome educational comic book!”

 8. Unspillable Beverage Holder
This travel cup has a material in its base that somehow grips any solid surface it’s placed on, keeping it from tipping over; but it doesn’t stick when you go to pick it up!  I’m not sure if this would be a good gift for me, since I feel like I might spend all my time trying to figure out how it works.

9. Make Your Own Snowglobe
Gotta slip another artsy one in!  This kit includes polymer make-and-bake clay so you can design whatever you want for the inside of your snow globe.  Then assemble, add glitter and water, and shake it all up — so fun!  Recommended for ages 8 and up.

10. Justick Desktop Organizer & Copyholder
And finally, for the entrepreneurs on your list, this innovative desktop document holder makes organizing easy. Just put whatever you need to keep in sight on your desk right on the holder and it will stay right there — no pushpins, no binder clips, and no tape needed. I like it!
